Onikisubat District Directorate of National Education, serving in Onikisubat, the largest district of Kahramanmaraş, was established in 2012 with the city of K.Maraş becoming a metropolitan city. The institution has 105 personnel. There are 6227 personnel working throughout the district. There are 272 public schools and 161 private schools serving at different levels.

In total, 112,977 students receive education and training in these institutions. In addition to all educational activities throughout the district, the Directorate also carries out many activities and studies.

Onikisubat District Directorate of National Education, which was established after the city of Kahramanmaraş became a big city in 2012, has been working in different projects and activities with protocols with Kahramanmaraş governorship and district governorship, Provincial Directorate of National Education, Provincial Health Directorate, Green Crescent and many similar institutions and organizations in this short period of time. The institution continues its efforts to implement the new operational decisions it has taken in line with its strategic action plan.
